Tiny Bit Adventures

Star Circuit

A robot space-RPG: walk tiny planets, craft upgrades and warp between stars.

Star Circuit: a robot on a violet crystal world at sunset, under giant mushrooms

Pick a robot and take off.

Star Circuit is a robot space-RPG. Walk around small spherical planets, gather resources, level up professions and craft upgrades. Then take off, fly around the star system and warp between stars.

Dig into caves, dive through deep oceans, probe planet cores from orbit for rare gems, relight the ancient relay Circuit and take down the Corruption Heart at the edge of the galaxy.

Every world fights back.

Version 0.4.0 is the combat release. Every world type has a signature enemy with a trick to learn: a Thornback that charges down a lane it paints on the ground, a Frost Warden you have to circle behind, a Void Stalker you can only see with your scanner. Titans sleep in stone rings on the most dangerous worlds, and the cores they drop retune your weapons.

Burn, chill and shock work on you as well as on them. Three new loadouts are built from the parts of what you hunt: Arc bolts that leap between targets, Cinder grenades that set the ground alight, and a Cryo beam that freezes things solid.

Better with friends.

Run the free multiplayer server on any Mac, Windows or Linux machine, and friends on the same network see it listed in the game. You walk the same worlds, dig the same caves, dive the same seas and fight the same enemies, and a kill pays everyone who helped. Friends show up on your compass and maps, and Plot course takes you straight to them.

Built with Blender and Godot.

Every model is generated by a Blender script, every sound by a small synthesizer written in Python, and the game runs on Godot 4.7 with GDScript. The source is on GitHub under the MIT license, so you can clone it and run it with Godot directly.

How to install it.

Mac: download StarCircuit-macOS.zip from the latest release, unzip it and move Star Circuit to Applications. The app isn’t notarized, so the first launch is blocked: right-click the app, choose Open, then Open again. On macOS 15 and later you may need System Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Open Anyway. It runs natively on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

Windows: download StarCircuit-Windows.zip, unzip it and run StarCircuit.exe. If SmartScreen says “Windows protected your PC”, click More info, then Run anyway.

From version 0.4.0 on, the game keeps itself up to date: when a new release is out, it offers it on the title screen and in the pause menu, and your saves carry over.
